Holy Hepatitis

Hundreds of mass goers may have been exposed to the hepatitis A virus while receiving Holy Communion at a Catholic church in Long Island on Christmas morning according to officials.
Authorities have warned that an unidentified person, who handled communion wafers may have transmitted the illness to parishioners at two separate Masses.

IHOP Restaurant Chain Drops Suit Against IHOP Church

The International House of Pancakes has dropped its suit against the International House of Prayer after claiming the Missouri-based church had infringed on its trademarked IHOP acronym.
Negotiations are continuing between the chain and the church.
In its suit filed Sept. 9 in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, the pancake chain said the church “intended to misappropriate the fame and notoriety of the household name IHOP to help promote and make recognizable their religious organization.”
